Autor sa pomocou dokumentov Poradného výboru ako odborného orgánu Rady Európy v oblasti ochrany národnostných menšín pokúsi poskytnúť ucelený pohľad na to, aké konkrétne povinnosti prináša zmluvným štátom Rámcový dohovor na ochranu národnostných menšín v oblasti zabezpečenia účinnej participácie menšín na verejných záležitostiach. Annotation Despite the fact that it is a lesser-known minority right, the right to effective participation plays an irreplaceable role from the point of view of the successful coexistence of minorities with the majority society. Using the documents of the Advisory Committee as an expert body of the Council of Europe in the field of national minority protection, the author will try to provide a comprehensive view of what specific obligations the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities brings to the contracting states in the area of ensuring effective participation of minorities in public affairs.
