Príspevok sa zaoberá problematikou legislatívneho vývoja trestu domáceho väzenia a zhodnotenia uplatňovania tohto trestu za obdobie od jeho vzniku. Obsahuje taktiež počet ukladaných trestov domáceho väzenia v Slovenskej republike a jeho porovnanie s ostatnými druhmi ukladaných trestov. Záverečná časť sa zaoberá príčinami, ktoré bránia ukladaniu tohto trestu a navrhovanými postupmi na zvýšenie aplikácie tohto inštitútu. The article deals with the issue of the legislative development of the sentence ofhouse arrest and the evaluation of the application of this sentence for the period since its inception. It also contains the number of house sentences in the Slovak Republic and its comparison with other types of sentences. The final part dealswith the reasons that prevent the imposition of this sentence and the proposed procedures to increase the application of this institute.
